Yes, not LS news, but certainly worth bringing up. Believer has signed with Metal Blade Records, home to Cannibal Corpse, As I Lat Dying, The Ocean, etc. If they are signing with a fairly big label as far as the metal world is concerned, then there is hope for multiple albums from Believer, which would be great. A bit older news, but Rocky Gray will be making an appearance on the band's 2009 release.
Yeah, I didn't know about this either, but it appears Toonami has created a HFTD channel on YouTube to be dedicated for LS material. Whoever it is, they've already got you hooked up with the rare Not Yielding to Ungodly demo. I'm pretty sure I lost all the files to the rareites I had, but if I come across them, I'll make sure they are added to this channel.
"Hello everyone this is Rocky. I wanted to let everyone know about some changes going on in the Soul Embraced camp. I want to dedicate my guitar playing to Living Sacrifice and make our new record the best record we've ever done. To do that I need to focus on LS and LS alone as far as my guitar playing goes. I wanted to end my guitar playing for SE on a high note, like a boxer retiring as a champion and I believe I'm doing just that because to me Immune and Dead Alive are highlights in this area of my career and I'm very proud of everything we accomplished. Lance Garvin will be dedicating all of his efforts to Living Sacrifice as well so in his place I will be playing drums for Soul Embraced so Chad, Devin and Jeff can continue on and start working on a new record. Soul Embraced is NOT breaking up, just changing. It may be the final chapter for Lance and I in one way but in another way it is the first page of a brand new book. I'm excited to see what happens. To be continued... BOOM! Rock, Chad, Lance, Devin and Jeff"
Members of Soul Embraced (which ones have yet to be revealed) are in involved in a side project known as Beside the King. The band currently has two songs on their MySpace.
I finally had the pleasure to witness "The Metal Onslaught" first hand last night as Living Sacrifice dropped into Philadelphia at the Trocadero. Here is the set list from last night's show:
Imminent War Send Your Regrets Bloodwork Local Vengeance Killing Flatline Symbiotic Enthroned In Christ Reborn Empowered Reject
If you have the chance, check LS out while you can, it will be well worth the time and money.
Ok people, let's get this thing started. Basically, Living Sacrifice is the best metal band of all time, and they've been retired for awhile, and now they're back. And what makes them unique, is that they are the only band that I know of that gets better with every release, and keeps the same inte
